Ordinance to further regulate rental properties in the City of Brandon

To all interested parties – The Brandon Board of Aldermen will conduct a public hearing on May 5, 2014 at 6:00  p.m. at the Brandon Municipal Complex, Board Room, 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, MS to receive citizen input regarding a proposed ordinance to further regulate rental properties in the City of Brandon.  The proposed ordinance is referred to as the “RPRLO” (Rental Property Registration and Licensing Ordinance).  A work session regarding this topic is also scheduled for April 21st, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. . at the Brandon Municipal Complex, Board Room, 1000 Municipal Drive, Brandon, MS.  All interested parties are welcome to attend.

Rezoning Request of McDonald’s Corporation

To all interested parties – The Brandon Board of Aldermen conducted a public hearing on June 17, 2013, regarding a rezoning request of McDonald’s Corporation to rezone a 1.171 acre tract subdivided from parcel # I8K-68 located at the southeast corner of intersection Hwy 80 (East Government St) and Louis Wilson Drive from R-4 High Density Residential District to C-2 Central Commercial District for the purpose of new construction of a McDonald’s Restaurant. This public hearing was continued until the Board of Alderman meeting on July 15, 2013; however, McDonald’s has requested to withdraw until further notice.  Updates will be posted here as they become available.
