Some of the other functions of our office include:
the licensing of persons and companies engaged in construction activities, issuing various types of permits, performing various types of construction inspections, performing business license inspections and assisting citizens with their questions and concerns within the community.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
I am responsible for reviewing and approving all of the construction plans & documents submitted to our office, for compliance with the adopted codes, ordinances, and the local, State and Federal laws. Some of my other responsibilities include:
• Routinely answering questions concerning the various adopted codes and ordinances
• Researching various regular and alternative construction design issues
• Remaining current on the adopted codes, ordinances, local, State & Federal laws
• Providing code, ordinance and technical information to the public, city employees and other government officials
• Performing various types of inspections on Commercial, Residential & Industrial projects
GOALS:
• To provide an even higher level of exceptionally good customer service
• To integrate more fully the adopted codes and ordinances with the training of office staff
