QUICK LINKS

City of Brandon Code of Ordinances - Ordinances are local laws dealing with matters, such as traffic, zoning, health and safety regulations, governmental organization, annexation, building and other construction codes, licenses, fees, etc.  Once an ordinance is adopted, it must be published in the City’s official newspaper (The Rankin County News) before becoming effective.  The code is updated whenever revised.   Reminders of current ordinances, as well as a public notices of new ordinances will be posted on this website under Latest News.

City of Brandon Zoning Map - Zoning is the process by which a community is divided into districts, or “zones,” each having a different set of uses, densities, dimensional requirements, and other development standards. Zoning helps protect public and private interests, preserve critical areas, promote orderly growth, and encourage development to occur at a rate and manner that the community desires.  The general zoning regulations, applicable in all districts, and the specific regulations per district can be found in the City of Brandon Code of Ordinances Appendix A.
