Youth Baseball and Softball

2012 YOUTH BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
REGISTRATION JANUARY 10 – FEBRUARY 11
Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, at Brandon Parks and Recreation Office on Kennedy Farm Parkway

(Registration will also be held in the foyer of Brandon City Hall Tuesday, February 7 from 10am – 6pm and in the Senior Center Saturday, February 11 from 9am – 12pm) 

With over 1000 children in our program, we are one of the largest recreational programs in the Jackson metro area and one of two parks and recreation departments that administers the youth baseball and softball program.  As Brandon and the surrounding communities grow at such a fast pace, so does our baseball and softball program.  Beginning at age 4 your child will learn the basic fundamentals he or she needs.  We offer spring and fall baseball and softball.

Baseball is available for ages 4 -15.  To be eligible to play all children must be 4 years or
older by May 1 of the current year of the baseball season. 

 Divisions: (ages 4 – 6 is comprised of boys and girls)
4 Year Old Tiny Tees ($40) – an introductory T-Ball program for boys and girls 
5 Year Old T-Ball  ($40) – T-Ball for boys and girls 
6 Year Old  Buddy Ball  ($60) - 1st level of coach pitch for boys and girls
7 Year Old Buddy Ball ($75) - coach pitch
8 Year Old Buddy Ball ($75) - last level of coach pitch, learning the skills for the next level of play - player pitch
10 & under (ages 9 & 10) ($90)
12 & under (ages 11 & 12) ($90)
15 & under (ages 13 – 15) ($110)

Softball is available for girls ages 5 – 18.  To be eligible to play all children must be 5 years or older by December 31 of the year prior to the year of the softball season.  Girls play fast pitch softball; however, slow pitch is also offered for ages 13 – 18.

Divisions: (ages 5 & 6 can choose to play co-ed T-Ball or all girls T-Softball)

8 & under (ages 7 & 8 ) ($95) – coach pitch, learning the skills for the next level of play – player pitch
10 & under (ages 9 & 10) ($100)
12 & under (ages 11 & 12) ($100)
16 & under (ages 13 – 16) ($105)
18 & under ( ages 13 – 18) ($85) – slow pitch
