Mayor’s Youth Council is a group of students from Brandon High School. Members are selected through an application process and must meet grade requirements and recommendations. Once selected, each youth council member is required to earn a total of 16 hours through community service through Mayor’s Youth Council sponsored events and to participate in raising funds to sponsor a community project.
The mission of the Mayor’s Youth Council is to serve as role models in the community and among the youth of Brandon by serving as an example and by taking an active role in community sponsored activities and volunteer work.Youth Council members participate in wholesome events that improve our city and unite all age groups in our community. Members work closely with the Mayor and other city departments to help contribute to the quality of life in Brandon.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2012-2013 council.
