Important Information on Residential Leaf Pickup
Residential leaf pickup is currently in effect. Please contact the Public Works Department at (601) 824-4579 once your leaves are at curbside in order to be placed on the leaf list for pickup. Please DO NOT put any limbs, pine cones, construction debris, or any large materials in your leaf piles. Only leaves and pine straw can be picked up by the leaf machines. You may also bag your leaves and place them out with your garbage for Waste Management to pick up.
The City of Brandon Public Works Department oversees four divisions: Water & Sewer, Street, Sanitation, and Storm Water.
Water & Sewer
For more information on the Water & Sewer Division view the page under Public Works.
The Public Works Departments works diligently to ensure that all pot holes get filled and downed street signs get replaced. You can report issues by filling out the online form.
Waste Management currently provides for our solid waste collection and disposal. The city provides solid waste collection twice a week. Containers must be placed at the curb or end of driveway by 7:00 a.m. on your pick-up day. Brush and grass clippings need to be bagged and placed alongside your other trash. Limbs must be no longer than five-feet long, eight-inches in diameter and stacked neatly at the curb.
For more information on how you can help the city of Brandon control non-point source pollution view the Storm Water page.
