The City of Brandon will celebrate a huge milestone this May, commemorating the 25th anniversary of its most treasured event, Brandon Day!  Over the course of 25 years, Brandon Day has evolved tremendously. What once began as a vision to encourage community fellowship has transformed into one of the most successful, longest-running annual events offered in Brandon.

Brandon Day 2012 kicks off on Friday May 4th with the Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at Crossgates Baptist Church.  Tickets will be available for purchase at City Hall for $10 each.  Key note speaker to be announced.

The following weekend, on the evening of Thursday May 10th, carnival rides will be set up at Shiloh Park.  On this night only you can ride all you want with the purchase of a $20 armband.

Beginning on Friday May 11th, over 125 arts & crafts vendors will set-up across the lawn at Shiloh Park displaying, and offering for sale, local products, crafts and delicious food.  Admission into the park is complimentary.  On Friday night there will be an open-air concert featuring “Dr. Zarr’s Amazing Funk Monster” beginning at 7 PM (admission is free).  Carnival rides will be on-going all day.

The biggest event is our Saturday night concert featuring country music star Joe Nichols to be followed by a fireworks extravaganza.  Other attractions on Saturday include a 5K run/walk to benefit the MS Burn Foundation, a local talent show, a BBQ cook-off, softball tournaments, carnival rides and free all-day admission into the Splash Park.

Through out Saturday, local talent performers will provide entertainment in ”Showtime at Shiloh” from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. under the pavilion.  If you interested in being a performer, please click here

The ever popular “Brandon Day T-Shirts” are on sale at City Hall. $10 for all youth sizes and adult small, medium, large and extra large.  XL and XXL sizes are available for $12.

To ensure public safety and pedestrian access to events, road closures will be in place on Friday and Saturday.

Brandon Day is a non-alcoholic, smoke-free family event.
